Safety First: Where Prevention Begins
FIRST AID TRAINING
All programs are taught by certified instructors at your location in a time frame that best suits the needs of your organization. Safety First will customize any course to meet your individual needs. By focusing on the prevention of emergencies, participants will learn how to keep their environment free from risk. Participants will also learn how to avoid potentially hazardous situations and proper response to life threatening emergencies. Participants will be taught how to develop emergency action plans to deal with various emergency situations.

All Safety First instructors are certified by the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, the American Safety & Health Institute and the National Safety Council.
Standard First Aid: 2 Hours

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization: 8 Hours
This course teaches healthcare providers caring for pediatric patients the foundational skills needed to assess, recognize, and participate in the initial management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest.
Medical Emergency Response Team: 10 & 14 Hour Programs
The Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) program provides advanced medical emergency training to employees who are not health care professionals. This training furnishes each MERT member with the skills to provide immediate and temporary care to a seriously ill or injured employee at the workplace.
Babysitter's Training: 6 Hours
Designed primarily for youth ages 11 and older, this course will prepare students to be better babysitters. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. Students will also learn the basics of starting a babysitting business. The course consists of tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills and manage their babysitting business.
