Blood Draw for Lab Testing

Venipuncture, or blood collection, is a medical procedure that’s done for a variety of purposes. The most common reason is to monitor the blood sample to check a patient’s health condition and diagnose if they have existing diseases. It may also be done to donate blood or remove excess blood volume, red blood cells, and iron to achieve balance in fluids.

Urine Collection for Lab Testing

Urinalysis is used in lab testing to detect disease and manage various health conditions. These include liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes and UTIs (urinary tract infections). Some employers also request their employees and job candidates to undergo urine collection to test for drug use by urinalysis.

Saliva Collection for Lab Testing

A mouth swab test is a screening tool that takes a saliva sample to detect certain substances in your system.

Mouth swab tests are used in various settings, such as workplaces and home. These tests are more cost-effective and less invasive than other drug tests, like samples of someone’s hair, urine or blood.

Drug Testing

There are two types of drug tests – pre-employment and random drug testing. Pre-employment drug tests are used to check if potential employees use drugs. This helps employers screen potential new hires for drug abuse issues prior to them joining the workforce. Many employers have strict drug-free rules, which prevents those who do drugs from getting employment in these workplaces. Random drug tests are announced without notice to current employees of a company or business. The purpose of this type of drug test is to ensure current employees are complying with the workplace’s drug-free rules.

Influenza (Flu) & Covid Testing

Your respiratory illness might be Flu or Covid if you have fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and/or fatigue. People may be sick and have respiratory symptoms without a fever. Flu viruses usually cause the most illness during the colder months of the year. However, flu can also occur outside of the typical flu season.  So, it is impossible to tell for sure if you have a virus based on symptoms alone. If you need to know for sure whether you are sick, there are laboratory tests that can be done.

Physical

Physicals and Pre-Admission Testing

A wellness physical is a routine visit by one of our medical staff that takes place at your location. This exam evaluates your overall wellness and gives your health care provider or employer important information about the condition of your health.  We are also able to provide Pre-Admission Testing for many types of outpatient procedures.
