Vailsburg Rescue utilizes the most advanced tools and training available in emergency medicine to deliver world class pre-hospital health care.
History
The Safety First Vailsburg Rescue Squad was established by a group of local residents and business owners as an all-volunteer organization who wanted to decrease the waiting time for EMS by providing pre-hospital emergency medical care.
Emergency Response
Our first response vehicles and the medical equipment they carry meet the requirements of the New Jersey Department of Health. The Safety First Vailsburg Rescue Squad is registered with the State of New Jersey
Members
No member of the Vailsburg Rescue Squad is compensated for his/her medical time. We are a community-based organization that is dedicated to serving our neighbors when they need us most.
The revenue of the Vailsburg Rescue Squad is received through voluntary donations and fund-raising events. All operating costs are covered by these contributions, including building, equipment, and vehicle maintenance and purchases.
Vailsburg Rescue Squad is considered a leader in Emergency Services in the region and aids as the back-up response unit for nearby towns throughout Essex County. Vailsburg Rescue utilizes the most advanced tools and training available in emergency medicine to deliver world class pre-hospital health care.
We are an independent emergency medical service and the generous support of the community have helped keep this unit in operation. The Vailsburg Rescue Squad receives no federal or municipal funding for its operation. The time dedicated by our active team members is truly the backbone of this organization.
